About Us

Although radio waves cannot be seen with the human eye, they are actually traveling right in front of our eyes. Smartphones, which you often use, also use radio waves for communication. Yoshida Laboratory conducts research mainly on the “hardware” side of wireless systems that use radio waves. For details, please see the Research page.

We use smartphones on a daily routine as a matter of course, but when you think about it, isn’t it strange that we can instantly access all kinds of information and talk with friends without any wires connected? Why is it that food gets hot in a microwave oven when no fire is used? In this way, we are always asking “Why? How come? is what drives us to continue our research activities. If you are interested in our research after reading this homepage, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you about joint research. If you are a third-year student of the Ryukoku University and are interested in being assigned to the Yoshida Laboratory, please refer to a dedicated page on our website. Research in the Faculty of Engineering is to create something that does not yet exist in the world. Let’s train ourselves and challenge something new in Yoshida Laboratory. If you are a manufacturing enthusiast with a spirit of challenge, we are sure to provide an environment that will satisfy you!

JST FOREST Phase 2 has been decided to continue!

We have passed the stage gate evaluation for the research in Phase 1, and Phase 2 has started in FY2024. We will continue to belong to the Hori Panel, which is in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, and disaster prevention, and we are receiving advice from the Professors of the Emergent AD/PO and working hard together with other researchers in and outside the panel to advance our research.
